We expect our suppliers to act responsibly

Our responsibility does not end within our own company - we also ensure compliance with ESG criteria in our supply chain.

Human rights in particular are a focus topic for us. Our upstream suppliers commit to comply with fundamental human rights as part of supplier self-assessments. In addition, there are obligations to comply with the UNGC and its confirmation within our extensive qualification process. These mainly relate to the protection of international human rights, the right to collective bargaining, the abolition of forced labor and child labor, the elimination of discrimination in hiring and employment, environmental responsibility and the prevention of corruption. Alternatively, our suppliers' existing company commitments are also recognized. The assessment includes existing as well as new suppliers along our upstream supply chain.

To ensure compliance with the criteria, we conduct a comprehensive supplier evaluation and random checks by means of supplier audits. We have been conducting the supplier assessment in this form since 2016 and are successively developing it further. We see ourselves as a strong partner for our suppliers and want to work together to advance the issue of sustainability along the supply chain.
