Size-Kick: The new Fusion3D 1500 LDS structurer

December 2011
The LDS system for long antennas introduced at productronica was met with great interest. LPKF Fusion3D 1500 applies the same LDS technology already proven successful with smartphone antennas to larger parts, expanding the production range considerably.

The new LPKF Fusion3D 1500 uses the LDS method to structure large parts
The system features two shuttles for structuring up to 40 cm long 3D parts without noteworthy non-production time – perfect for manufacturing tablet or laptop antennas. While the laser is structuring the shuttle batch the second is already moving to the next machining position. The space per part available for laser structuring is up to 78 mm wide and 80 mm high.

The LPKF Fusion 3D 1500 can also be equipped with a multiple processing unit controller (MPC). This allows up to three laser sources to simultaneously be controlled, a substantial gain in output.
