The program of the “Three-dimensional Arrangement of LEDs – Innovative Manufacturing Technologies” workshop within the framework of the 3rd International LED professional Symposium + Expo (LpS) on September 25, 2013, in Bregenz has been finalized. The event jointly organized by Essemtec AG and LPKF Laser & Electronics AG, which features the entire LDS process chain, is made up of three blocks. The workshop highlights the development and production of highly integrated LED systems on the basis of heat-conducting plastics.
In block 1, Stephan Krause (LPKF) reports on 3-D arrangements of LEDs on cooling elements that are implemented with the aid of laser direct structuring (LDS). In block 2, Andy Verheijden (Sabic) reports on heat-conductive materials for LED applications and Florian Schildein (Essemtec) reports on three-dimensional dispensing and placement of LED components. In the third block, Karl Görmiller (MID-Tronic) presents a user report and talks about his experiences with customers. In addition, Dr. Christoph Heinle (RF Plast) discusses the development and production of highly integrated LED systems on the basis of heat-conducting plastics by plastic injection molding. Those who are interested can now register and download the event program.
You can find information on the workshop and register on the website of the LED Symposium.
