LPKF has obtained a mutual settlement in its dispute regarding patent infringement with its customer PATRON CO. LTD, Korea, and has thus sent a clear signal to the market. PATRON thus affirmed that it would produce LDS components exclusively with machines that are from LPKF.
 
Moreover, the company will order 20 new Fusion3D laser machines. In return, LPKF is ceasing its legal steps against PATRON. From this example LPKF has shown that it will attentively follow patent-infringing activities at all times.

The aim is not just to retain our own patent, but also to protect customers who purchase or have purchased LPKF machines. End customers (OEMs) are thus also protected, because ultimately a high-quality product is the end result – and not an inferior rip-off. In this way, LPKF ensures that end customers also receive the high quality of the original LDS process.
