Skills competition: 47th WorldSkills 2024 with LPKF ProtoLaser H4

There is passion behind every job. There is know-how behind every gesture. Behind every skill there is talent. LPKF has been a valuable supporter of the world’s largest skills competition for years: At the WorldSkills 2024 young people up to the age of 22 from 59 professional fields compete against each other, with Germany represented in 38 disciplines. The participants solve challenging tasks on site and are judged by an international jury. Medals are at stake!

LPKF is supporting the electronics team with two application engineers and technology for circuit board prototyping. The competitors design layouts to solve their task in CAD systems, and LPKF converts the layouts into practical PCBs directly on site - these boards are then used to continue the competition. This year, Lyon, France, will be the host city for WorldSkills 2024 from September 10 to 15.

Stefan Kiel and Lukas Illig from the LPKF sales and application team are already preparing for their deployment. For the first time, powerful combination systems are being used. Two tabletop LPKF ProtoLaser H4 combine the best of both worlds: the high-precision laser takes care of structuring the conductor tracks on the PCB, and the system handles the mechanical drilling and cutting applications independently with the help of the automatic tool change.
