Pioneer and solution provider since 1976

LPKF's laser systems are critical to the development and production of printed circuit boards, microchips, automotive parts, solar modules and many other components. With LPKF systems, customers are producing ever smaller and/or more precise components. At the same time, they can increase the functionality of these components and take advantage of new design possibilities. LPKF also offers solutions for the analysis of biological materials in the nanolitre range for pharmaceutical research. The LPKF Glass Foundry supplies customers from various industries with high-precision components made of glass.

Foundation of LPKF on August 4th

Engineer Juergen Seebach develops the first mechanical process for creating printed circuit boards.
 

1989
A New Technology

In 1989 LPKF develops a process for laser-based PCB structuring.

1991
New Headquarters

LPKF moves into its new headquarters at Garbsen near Hannover. 

1993
A Spirit of Innovation

LPKF presents the first StencilLaser system for manufacturing SMD stencils

1998
IPO

LPKF goes public and raises capital for future innovations. 

2000
Laser Plastic Welding

LPKF joins forces with an expert team for Laser Plastic Welding from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and opens up new markets such as the automotive.

2006
Milestone for LDS-Technology

LPKF’s Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) process is used for the high-volume manufacturing of anteannaes. 

2007
LPKF enters the Photvoltaic Market

LPKF develops and manufactures laser systems for structuring thin-film solar modules at its site in Suhl/Germany. 

2010
Award Winning

LPKF receives the prestigious HERMES Award for the Fusion 3D structurer. 

2015
Digital Printing Technology

LPKF develops Laser Transfer Printing (LTP), a new technology for printing functional pastes and colors. LTP makes new applications in the automotive industry, printed glass manufacturing, and other sectors possible.

2019
Opening of Vitrion Foundry 

PKF produces glass microstructure components with its patented LIDE technology for various clients, especially in the display and semiconductor sectors, in Garbsen.

2023
Smart Move with Biotec

LPKF moves part of its ARRALYZE division to Boston, USA. Under the name ARRALYZE, LPKF develops systems and solutions for biomedical applications in Garbsen
