Custom-designed for LPKF, these milling, drilling, and routing bits are 100% top-quality carbide, resulting in the longest possible life, precise cuts, and reduced drill flex.
Tools are divided into two main groups – 36 mm (1.42”) long tools for surface work (milling bits and endmills), and 38 mm (1.5”) long bits that are intended to work through the material, such as contour routers, and drill bits.

Tools for the Treatment of Surfaces
LPKF supplies tungsten carbide tools for the treatment of the surface of different materials - with an overall length of 36 mm and a shank of 3.175 mm (1/8”). For different applications LPKF provide:
Conical Tools

Universal Cutter: for engraving isolations of 200 µm - 500 µm

Micro Cutter: for engraving isolations of 100 µm - 150 µm (high-speed motor required)
Cylindrical Tools

Double Cutter: for engraving aluminium front panels and for engraving wide isolation gaps. Diameter: 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm.


HF Cutter: for outlines of HF structures (small penetration depth into the substrate, straight side walls, high-speed motor required). Diameter: 150 µm, 250 µm, 400 µm.

For drilling and milling out LPKF supplies penetrating tools with an overall length of 38 mm and shafts of 3.175 mm (1/8”).

Twist Drill: to drill various materials, in particular PCB base materials
Diameter: 0.15 mm - 2.4 mm (starting from 0.2mm in 0.1mm steps) hole diameters > 2.4 mm are manufactured automatically with a 2.0mm routing cutter.

Contour Routing Cutter: to route holes > 2.4 mm and for routing out printed circuit board outlines. Diameter: 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm.

Double Cutter: for routing out aluminium front panels and boards made with HF materials. Diameter: 1 mm, 2 mm.
