The LPKF LaserScalpel is the first laser-based repair tool that can eliminate short circuits on PCBs with very fine structures.

It is extremely precise and reliable. Short circuits of only a few micrometers can be removed quickly and dependably.

As manual PCB repair costs increase, the LaserScalpel emerges as a true cost-saving solution for repairing high-quality circuit boards.

The LaserScalpel is extremely easy to operate and requires no technical knowledge. The damaged board is first inspected with the tool’s microscope, then a joystick is used to position the laser over the defective area. The laser pulse is released by pressing a foot switch. For large short circuits, a series of laser pulses can be released while the laser is continually moved with the joystick.

The LaserScalpel is a Class 1 laser system, so it can be safely operated in any work environment.
