LPKF presents the new ProtoLaser 100 for laser structuring
Garbsen, November 2004 - LPKF Laser & Electronics AG announces the new ProtoLaser 100, an easy-to-operate high-performance laser structuring system for printed circuit board prototyping.
The ProtoLaser 100 is an ideal tool for producing high-quality RF and microwave boards with structures as small as 50 µm (2 mils). The laser beam has a diameter of 25 µm (1 mil), and it creates precise contours with sharp edges. It produces PCBs on a variety of substrates, and it can structure at speeds up to 5 sq. cm (1 sq. in.) per minute.
The ProtoLaser 100 is a completely self-contained in-house PCB production system that is easy to set up and use in a small work area, requiring no chemicals or external chillers. Since all production occurs in the lab, sensitive design data remains in-house.
The ProtoLaser 100 combines the milling, drilling and contour routing capabilities of an advanced LPKF ProtoMat® PCB plotter.
