LPKF transfers ELASER GmbH Stencil Production with effect from 3rd June 2003

Garbsen 5th June 2003 - With effect from 3rd June LPKF has transferred the stencil production business from its subsidiary ELASER GmbH to Sparks Laser Services GmbH. This successful division of LPKF was very useful, in the early years, to introduce laser cut stencils to the market, but now LPKF considers that it causes a business conflict with stencil suppliers who have purchased LPKF’s  Stencil Laser systems.

Sparks Laser Services GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sparks Laser Services Ltd (UK) and offers the services previously offered by ELASER GmbH including laser cut SMD stencils, precision components and gobos (masks for light projection) from stainless steel or polymer materials.  SPARKS sales office in Keltern near Pforzheim has already started sales activities. Production and support will temporarily remain the responsibility of ELASER in Garbsen.

Sparks Laser Services Ltd in the UK is already a well-known customer of LPKF with several systems in the UK and Portugal. For years they have worked very successfully on the stencil market and the flex circuit cutting/polymer component market.

The company ELASER GmbH will continue to offer laser cutting service work on ceramics, non-metallic materials and special materials.
