The Third Dimension: Structuring of electronic circuits on plastic parts

04/Mar/2008
Garbsen, March 2008 – The LPKF-LDS Method produces electronic circuits directly on three-dimensional injection-moulded plastic parts. The laser process allows fast and flexible design changes, and can produce more precise structures than conventional MID techniques.

The LPKF-LDS process advantages, developed by LPKF Laser & Electronics AG, include short process chains, low production costs, and high levels of environmental compatibility. It is used especially for series production in telecommunication and automotive electronics.

LPKF Laser & Electronics AG develops and distributes systems used in electronics production, the automotive industry, and in the manufacture of solar cells. Its export share is 80 per cent. The Group has approx. 300 employees worldwide.
