Erlangen, Germany 13th August 2007 – The number of orders being placed with the Plastics Welding Division of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG continues to grow. The team has been strengthened again, with additional areas rented for expansion. The company is responding to the enormous growth in demand for its laser plastics welding equipment.
 
Equipment and services for the laser welding of plastics are now supplied from a facility with over 2000 m^², up 40 % on the previous area. To provide its customers with improved services while also expanding international activities, the team is taking on nine new staff members to strengthen above all the areas of design, production, servicing and after sales.

The Plastics Welding Division of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG is specialised in the development, production and distribution of equipment for laser plastics welding. Application areas include the automobile industry, medical technologies and consumer goods.

LPKF Laser & Electronics AG primarily develops systems and process solutions for the electronics and automotive subcontracting industries. The company has around 300 employees worldwide.
