Application Tips
"You never get a second chance for a first impression"
The written application is usually the first contact which we have from you. Therefore it is worthwhile to invest time, patience and above all care. It would be unfortunate for employers to go against your application before it has even been fully read. Avoid therefore sample texts and try to make the person reading it interested in you. You have to advertise yourself! Hereby we would like to give you some tips and references, on what you need to include in your application and the layout we recommend.
To make your application complete, the following documents need to be included:
- Introduce yourself
- Professional development
- Examinations, certifications
Introduce yourself
Your introduction is your visiting card. Good formulations and the usual standards must be considered so that the application finds favour. That means: a visible text no more than A4-size length with a readable character size without long interlocked sentences. One page with readable character size is sufficient. The content of the introduction should refer to the requirements or the tasks of the new job.
Professional development
Apart from the introduction the professional development is the second most important and effective document with which you can sell yourself. It can speak for you, if you take enough time, in order to present a carefully arranged and content-wise convincing professional development. The personal data should be represented in tabular form. It is important that the professional development does not have gaps, otherwise it could give the impression you have something to hide. Do not forget to also include your hobbies, but you should limit them to 2-3. Select if possible a hobby, which has a connection with your future employment.
We are pleased about your interest and hope to hear from you soon.
