ISO Certification

Quality management at LPKF reached a new level with the introduction of DIN EN ISO 9001 standard in the year of 2001. The management system has been continuously updated since then, and modified to comply with the latest amendments to the standards.

The management expects this move to create more transparency and a long-term reduction in quality-assurance cost. "One of the most important advantages", says the board of directors, "is the ability to completely track things down the production chain. Errors can be precisely localised and avoided in future."

The ISO 9001 quality management system stipulates that the documentation on all organization structures and operational processes – including detailed processing instructions, workflows and job descriptions – is documented in an integrated management handbook. A predefined procedure is implemented later on to examine whether the processes correspond to the real situation in the company. The company successfully passed all tests carried out by the certification bureau of DeuZert.

The LPKF subsidiaries LPKF Motion & Control, LaserMicronics and LPKF SolarQuipment GmbH were also successfully certified.
