ISO Certification

Quality management at LPKF reached a new level with the introduction of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.
The management expects this move to create more transparency and a long-term reduction in quality-assurance cost. "One of the most important advantages", says the board of directors, "is the ability to completely track things down the production chain. Errors can be precisely localised and avoided in future."
The ISO 9001 quality management system requires the documentation of all organisational structures and production processes as well as detailed process instructions, work flow and job descriptions in a corresponding manual. In a standardised process it is then checked that company procedures actually comply with these specifications. The company successfully passed all tests carried out by the certification bureau of BVQI.
The LPKF subsidiaries LPKF Motion & Control and LaserMicronics were also successfully certified.
