Mechanical Through-Hole Plating
The cost-effective mechanical process of the LPKF EasyContac lends itself to single- or double-sided circuit boards with up to 50 vias or PCB repairs.
Rivets are inserted in the drill holes by hand and riveted with a press-fit tool. The rivet is then assembled or soldered. The outside diameter of through plating rivets ranges from 0.8 to 1.4 mm.
In addition to mechanical through-hole plating LPKF also offers a
galvanic and an entirely
non-chemical method of through-hole plating.
